Extraspace Solutions were contracted by the Mater Hospital to build a temporary A & E transit unit, the brief included the design, supply and installation of a 33 bed Modular A & E Unit 10m above a walkway, whilst maintaining access underneath.
Solution
Works on the project commenced with the construction of a steel platform on a previously constructed frame (underneath a previously installed Extraspace Solutions building). Extraspace installed this building in 1 day and maintained access underneath the frame for the duration of the project. The provision of the A & E Unit was completed and usable within 6 weeks of install.
