Reddy O’Riordan Architects
Reddy O’Riordan Architects (RORSA) is a Cork-based architectural practice, founded in 1972, with a reputation for design excellence, as evidenced in competition wins, commendations and awards
The firm worked from two offices situated in two detached buildings next to each other. One of the buildings was a protected building and the other was a state-of-the-art, newly built unit with ultra modern finishes.
Our brief
The project brief was to link the two buildings together by an internal corridor that would resemble a “picture-frame”.
It was necessary for the internal fixtures to be exactly the same as those in the existing modern building. The aim was to achieve a seamless finish when going from one building to another.
Our solution
The frames of the unit were built from an original specification designed by RORSA that had never been attempted before by Extraspace.
We successfully achieved the brief as well as supplying bespoke acoustic walls to the rear of the unit, all surface finishes, mechanical, electrical, acoustic works and fire certificates.
The project was completed eight weeks from date of order.
