Environmental Policy
Extraspace Solutions Ltd. would like to inform all existing and potential clients, stakeholders, suppliers and contractors, of our commitment to local, regional and cross-border sustainability and environmental protection. The development of the standard ISO 14001 is currently being undertaken within the organisation. It is our objective to engage in the standards development process in order to learn and develop meaningful and practical policy actions, which will help to bolster the environmental legal compliance within the organisation, environmental improvement and prevention of pollution. Environmental Policy
Extraspace Solutions Ltd. and Extraspace Solutions (UK) Ltd., herein known as Extraspace, are committed to Sustainable Development, the prevention of pollution and maintenance of regional and cross border environments.
We recognise the economic, social and environmental factors affecting all facets of our activities and we seek to minimise the significant impacts. Therefore, Extraspace shall regularly review its environmental management practice at Headquarters, regional and site level and will seek to identify initiatives to improve the overall environmental performance of Extraspace. Extraspace management shall be responsible for the implementation, development, review and communication of this policy. Particular focus will be given to factory works and site projects, which influence energy use, waste creation, site development and transport emissions, therefore, we seek to:
- Comply with all relevant environmental legislation and best environmental management practices.
- Continue to promote the efficient use of energy and other natural resources in an economical and environmentally sound manner.
- Continue to promote environmentally efficient materials and services to our customers
- Inform and assist our purchasing department and our suppliers to take into consideration environmental and sustainable issues in our procurement process with regard to centrally purchased equipment and services.
- Provide environmental training to key staff, ensure that all staff are aware of the environmental policy statement and how they can contribute to the company’s overall environmental performance
- Promote waste minimisation and endeavour to reduce the environmental impact of waste across all our activities.
- Ensure that pollution prevention and minimisation of discharges is a key consideration in all our operations.
Extraspace, through the development, implementation and maintenance of our environmental management system ISO 14001, will engage in a process of continuous environmental improvement, measured and reviewed against our targets and objectives.
